Media Tools for Your Collective Action Day

Natomas School Lunch

Collective Action Day is this Thursday, October 25. The Center for Ecoliteracy has developed tools and resources to help you and your team promote your event and receive the recognition you deserve. From sample social media posts to media reminders, we’ve got you covered. Everything you need is below.

Media Alert Reminder
If you haven’t done so already, we recommend reaching out to local media today and reminding them about your event. You can add your district information to our Media Alert template and send to your press list. Download the customizable Media Alert. (This Microsoft Word Doc will download immediately to your computer.)

Press Release
The day of Collective Action Day, we recommend sending the press release to local media to inform them of event details. You can add your district information to our Press Release template and send to your press list. Download the Press Release Template. (This Microsoft Word Doc will download immediately to your computer.)

Sample Social Media Posts
The Center for Ecoliteracy has developed sample social media posts, below, that you can adapt to promote your event through your social channels. We encourage you to use your own photos whenever possible, but if you need some extras, you can find them on the California Thursdays press room website.
